Documentário ‘NOVAS RAÍZES – ESCOLHAS DO FUTURO’ estreia em setembro na DISCOVERY e HBO MAX

NEW ROOTS – CHOICES FOR THE FUTURE is a new documentary that places Brazil— a global leader in pulp exports— at the center of the debate on the future of the planet. The result of a partnership between Warner Bros. Discovery, Casa Redonda, and the Brazilian Tree Industry (Ibá), the production reveals how science, technology, and innovative agricultural practices can transform the planted tree sector into a strategic ally in tackling the climate crisis.
With a runtime of 47 minutes, the documentary features real stories of professionals who work daily in cultivation, research, and the development of innovative solutions that combine technology, genetic engineering, biotechnology, and sustainable agricultural practices. The production premieres on September 23 at 11:45 PM on the Discovery Channel and on HBO Max, the group’s streaming platform.
“This production shows how the collaboration between brands, creative talent, and strategic partners can make a difference. Our goal is to tell real and transformative stories to create a lasting impact on audiences,” says Eduardo Teixeira, Director of Creative Solutions at Warner Bros. Discovery Brazil.
Directed by Eduardo Rajabally, with research and script by Kenya Zanatta, it is a co-production with Casa Redonda. In addition to Ibá, the project is also supported by 15 brands from the forest-based industry, including Bracell, Eldorado, Klabin, Suzano, Smurfit Westrock, Papirus, CMPC, BO Paper, Irani, Ibema, Norflor, RMS, TTG, Unilin, and Veracel.
